While it looks like Mr. Obama is going to be the Democratic nominee there seems to be a group of legislatures who want to overturn what that people have voted for on May 8, 2008 10 legislatures in support of Hillary Clinton sent a letter to the Super Delagates (both decided and undecided) and asked them to cast thier vote for Hillary Clinton. Thier argument is that Hillary Clinton won most of the swing states and had a broader base appeal and would be best suited to beat John McCain in the November election. This letter was to appeal to Super delagtes who supported Obama to change thier vote and those who have not decided to vote for Hillary Clinton.
This letter is one of the most offensive things I have ever seen. So let me get this straight. Obama has won the most votes, delegates and raised the most money and you want to take the nomination away from him,.
I find this offensive as a American, voter, African American, and supporter of the Democratic party. Does my vote count anymore? Do you think that the American people who voted for Obama are stupid and not capable of making an intelligent decision?
Even before I could vote I supported the Democratic party. I volunteerd for Carter campaign when I was 13 years old and have supported each Democratic nominee since that time. If this party in some back room decides to take this away for Mr. Obama then I will change my affillation from the Democratic party to Republican. Not only will I vote for McCain but I will work for him and donate to his campaign.
The Democratic party cannot take my vote for granted and if they think they can well.... they have another thing coming.
Holiday cheer.
