Hey Kim where are you?

Hello all

I am right here oberserving all of this foolishness!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it has been a while since I have posted a comment. Since my last my last post, Obama lost Pennsylvania, gained many super delagats and lost a Pastor. As much as I hate to say this the turn of events have helped Obama. Every since the sermons of Rev. Wright surface the subject of Rev. Wright have held Obama back. Whenever there is an interview with Obama, a debate or analysis the subject always comes up, not his position on education, health care or the war (which is very important to the American people) it is Rev. Wright.

Many people asked why Obama did not denouce Rev. Wright before this time, well honestly it would have been politically suicide. The base of Obama's support is African Americans and the truth is African Americans are very loyal to thier Church and Pastors. We have forgiven our Pastors from everything to Audultry and stealing so a couple of contiversial sermons PLEASE!!!!!!!!! That would have been political suicide for Obama. Rev. Wrights antics at the National Press Club gave Obama an excellent opportunity to denouce Rev. Wright. The speech and question and answer period were not taken out of context and they were not just sound bites. So Mr. Obama did what he had to do. Perhaps this will win him the nominination and perhaps he will win the election. But the truth is Black America lost this week. We watched a black men battle with each other in public and in our community that is a "no no". As the Godfather told his older son Santino " Never let anyone outside the family know whta you are thinking.

So here wer are on the verge of making history but in the end we will be broken as a result of it.

Can real people ask the questions in the debates?

Last Wednesday I rushed home leaving a pile of work on my desk to get home to the watch the ABC debate. I greatly admire the moderators of the debate and I was looking forward to an informative exchange between the candidates. Within 40 minutes I have to say I was very disgusted. Instead of questions about health care, education and issues that matter to the American voter, they spent time on lapel pins, Rev. Wright and Bosnia. At the end of the debate each candidates had thirty seconds to address the issue of $4.00 gas prices. ARE U KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!??????????????

If I am not mistaken each candidate has answered each of these questions, what more do they need to say?

If Obama wears a lapel pin does that lower gas prices?

If Hillary lies about Bosnia does that lower my taxes?

I think this problem with these debates is that you have white millionaires asking these questions. Of course they are not concerned about food and gas prices and medicare so why would they ask questions pertaining to them.

These moderators do a dis-service to to the American voter when the real issues are not talked about.

I hope in the general election ABC and the other networks will talk heed and take be the real voice of the people.

War was is it good for!!!!!

Let me first say I love this county so I do not want to come off as unpatriotic. However, after listening to Gen. Petraeus yesterday I really felt for our country yesterday. We have been in this war for five years, there have been 4000+ deaths of U.S. soilders, thousands of Iraqis, and countless of injuries. However the testimony proved yesterday that there has not been very much progress and we don't seem to be close to one. It is very hard for me to believe that we entered a war without a plan and sacraficed the lives of millions of people on a whim.

One thing that I have learned in the 41 years I have been on this earth is to invest money in time on things worthwhile.

What if we took the money that we spent on the war and invested it in higher teacher salaries, better schools and providing scholarships to kids who wanted to go to college but could not. Not to mention put art and music back in school and lower the high school dropout rate

(money would still be left over)

What if we took that money and helped families who did not have health care and provide them with subsidies to offset a health care plan.

(money would still be left over)

What if we gave every veteran and homeless person a nice place to live and three decent meals a day.
(money would still be left over)

I wish we could invest in our country and our people to make US better. I mean would it really be that hard.
