Life or Death!

I took a break from this blog for a number of reasons, some personal. One of the main reasons for taking a break was that I wanted to make sure that I had the right intention and purpose for this blog. What I really wanted was to make sure that my voice had reason, purpose and provided productive and not destructive thoughts. Everday pundits are paid millions of dollars to offer opinions that are false, cruel and border on racism. That is not the voice that want to provide. I love this country and realize although we may disagree, we all want the best for this country that has given us so much.

Over the past few months I have watched this country become divided like I have never seen in my lifetime. The President has been depicted as a Stalin, Hitler a Socialist and those are the nice things. What has caused all of this? A bill that will provide millions of Americans health care. We are arguing over giving people a better way of life period.

Many of the people who are arguing over this claim they are Christians and it makes me question if they have read the Bible verse about helping "the least of these".

This past Friday the President went to the Republican caucus to extend an olive branch to Republicans to work together on future legislation to include health care. In the process he defended his polices and seemed to have found his Presidential voice for the first time since becoming President. It is my hope that the Republicans heard this voice, for some people thier lives are depending on it.
